\u201cElephants are Herculean creatures.\u201d<\/strong>
\nA grown adult may weigh in at as much as 15k pounds (7k Kgs) and may stand as high as 4 meters. It is world\u2019s most powerful animal, which can uproot a tree as easily as you and I can break a toothpick!<\/p>\n

Reality: To keep a Circus Elephant from running away, they tie a metal chain onto a collar around the mighty elephant\u2019s leg \u2013 and tie it to a wooden Dowel that\u2019s hammered into the ground. The hulk could easily snap the chain, uproot the Dowel, and escape to Freedom. But it does not do that. In fact it does not even try. The world\u2019s most powerful animal, which can uproot a tree as easily as you and I can break a toothpick, remains tied down by a small Dowel and an unsubstantial chain. How come?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It starts when they\u2019re babies\u2026
\nThe way to chain an elephant is to start when he\u2019s a baby. I have seen cases where they didn\u2019t even need a chain \u2013 a strong rope will do. The chain and dowel are strong enough for a baby elephant. When it tries to break away, the metal chain pulls him back, the baby elephant pulls harder. But the chain cuts into the skin, creates a wound, continuing to struggle creates a painful burn it\u2019s leg. eventually, it realizes that it can\u2019t break the rope, and even worse, the baby elephant learns not to struggle \u2013 it accepts that the limit imposed by the rope or chain is permanent, and there is no use struggling against it.<\/p>\n

But Sure, the elephant grows up and becomes the most powerful land mammal on the face of the earth. But the chains in its mind remain, and so the chains on its leg are never broken. The elephant\u2019s belief prevails. I know that this thought has nothing to do with the title of this topic, however, imagine this:<\/p>\n

Circus = The world
\nElephant = Your Business
\nMetal Chain = Thoughts
\nWooden dowel = Tradition
\nFreedom = Success<\/p>\n

If you could imagine this, you\u2019ll realize that we\u2019re all like a circus elephant, we have incredible powers but of course with self-limiting beliefs that hold us back, sometimes its because of a childhood experience or an early faliure and sometimes its something that because of a childhood experience or an early faliure and sometimes its something that we were told when we were younger. What is your Chain and Dowel?<\/p>\n
